The Full Picture of Me
Watercolor and human anatomy project for Grades 2-3. Students learn about different proportions of the body and how they relate to each other. They use self-expression in the border of the picture and learn different watercolor techniques.
Students explore the school to gather crayon textures throughout the building and school grounds. The textures are used to create watercolor resists and then for collages.
Birds of Fantasy
Sculpture project for Grade 3. Birds were constructed with foil, papier mache, and found objects. Students were studying birds for project based learning.
Students in Grades 4-5 create collagraphs using small woods pieces glued onto boards. The pieces are printed during a community steamroller printmaking gathering.
